Wings Contractors Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to wingscontractors.com and clients who engage our construction services. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it, in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

1. Who we are

2. What data we collect

We only collect data you actively give us, in three places:

• Contact form & WhatsApp enquiries. Your name, email, phone number, project location, and any details you share in the message body.
• Project engagements. When we begin work for you, we keep contracts, scope documents, site photos, and invoices as part of normal business records.
• Anonymous site analytics. Standard server logs from our CDN (AWS CloudFront) — IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer. We use these only to spot bugs and traffic patterns.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this site. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no ad retargeting.

3. Why we collect it

• To reply to your enquiries. So we can quote on your project or answer your question.
• To deliver the work. Contracts, schedules, and site coordination require holding contact details for both you and our team.
• To keep accurate business records. Including for tax (KRA), licensing (NCA), and contractual obligations.
• To improve the website. Anonymous analytics help us see which pages are useful.

4. How we store it

Contact-form submissions are emailed via Zoho Mail to info@wingscontractors.com. Project records are held in our internal systems and on Google Drive folders accessible only to authorised Wings staff. The website itself is hosted on AWS (CloudFront + S3) in encrypted storage. Sanity (our CMS) holds the website's content in its own encrypted infrastructure.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. We share data only with:

• Subcontractors and suppliers directly engaged on your project, and only where it is necessary to deliver the work.
• Our service providers (Zoho for email, AWS for hosting, Sanity for content) — each operates under their own privacy policy and standard data-processing terms.
• Regulators or authorities when legally required (e.g. KRA tax filings, NCA compliance audits, court orders).

6. How long we keep it

• Contact-form messages: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Project records: 7 years after project completion (statutory retention).
• Anonymous server logs: rotated automatically by AWS after 90 days.

7. Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention rules).
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).

To exercise any of these rights, email info@wingscontractors.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We aim to respond within 7 working days.

8. Cookies

This website does not set tracking cookies. We do not use cookies for advertising, fingerprinting, or behavioural tracking. The only cookies you may encounter are essential ones set by the CDN to deliver the page (these expire when you close the browser).

9. Children

Our services are intended for adults engaging us for construction work. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently received such data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated on the homepage banner for at least 14 days.
